Dr. Carbone is a Podiatrist in private practice with Rochester Foot Care Associates, a practice he joined in 1984 with Dr. Edward J. Bonavilla and Dr. David V. Chazan.
An Irondequoit, NY native, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from St. John Fisher and his degree in Podiatric Medicine from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. He went on to do a one-year surgical preceptorship in Chicago. Today he is a member of the podiatry staffs of Rochester General and Highland Hospitals in Rochester.
Dr. Carbone is a diplomate of the International Podiatry Board of Medicine & Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopaedics and Medicine, and associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
He is past president of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association and has served in numerous other leadership positions with that organization.
Dr. Carbone has given his time and expertise to the community in many ways for many years. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Golisano Children's Hospital, Italian Charities and others. He is also on the Medical Advisory Board of Western New York Physician Magazine.
He has volunteered his time with Healthy Athletes for three years at local and statewide Special Olympic events, screening athletes for foot problems such as improper shoe fit and gait problems. In his private practice he has been a pioneer, caring for many patients with intellectual disabilities.
Dr. Carbone has been married to Mary McCombs of YNN News since 1999 and they have one daughter Roma.
