Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida Holds Ceremonial Groundbreaking to Celebrate Community Commitment of $80 Million in Donations and Pledges

Lee Memorial Health System Foundation celebrated a community commitment of more than $80 million in donations and pledges toward its $100 million Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida capital campaign goal with a Ceremonial Groundbreaking today. The event was held in the Atrium at HealthPark Medical Center located at 9981 S. HealthPark Drive, Fort Myers.
Participating were the hospital’s namesake benefactorB. Thomas Golisano, Lee Memorial Health System President Jim Nathan, Lee Memorial Health System Executives, Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida medical staff, patients, donors and partners and prominent members of the business community.
The event featured updates on Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida’s capital campaign status, and achievement of Mr. Golisano’s $20 million matching challenge.
The new facility is being built on the campus of HealthPark Medical Center in Fort Myers.
