Erica Dayton
Executive Director
Erica Dayton assumed leadership of the Golisano Foundation in 2023 after joining the organization in 2019 as Grants Manager. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the nonprofit and grant administration sector, with a strong record of advancing inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment across communities.
Before joining the Foundation, Erica spent a decade at the University of Rochester in various research support roles, including Research Administrator and Grant Accountant. Since her arrival at the Golisano Foundation, she has cultivated strong collaborative relationships with service providers and community leaders, helping to refine the Foundation’s strategic direction and deepen its community impact. Her leadership and advocacy were recognized by Special Olympics New York with the 2025 Game Changer Award.
In her current role as Director, Erica plays a central part in coordinating Tom Golisano’s personal philanthropy, including several transformative initiatives. These include the 2025 creation of the Golisano Children’s Alliance, uniting ten children’s hospitals across the eastern United States that bear the Golisano name, and the historic $500 million in unrestricted giving to 125 nonprofit organizations in 2024, supporting education, health, disability services, animal welfare, and community causes across Upstate New York and Southwest Florida.
Under Erica’s leadership, the Golisano Foundation has received a significant infusion of $52 million from Mr. Golisano, increasing its total assets to approximately $120 million. This growth has expanded the Foundation’s annual grantmaking capacity to over $5 million to nonprofits serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and advancing animal welfare in Western New York and Southwest Florida.
Erica holds a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from St. John Fisher University.

Kaitlin has also coordinated the expansion of the B. Thomas Golisano Collection at Rochester Institute for Technology’s (RIT) Archives. This multi-faceted, specially curated collection includes a rich variety of materials including photos, media clips, documents, and memorabilia serving to preserve the record and legacy of Tom Golisano’s entrepreneurial and philanthropic impact.

Annie Murphy
Golisano Children’s Alliance Coordinator
Annie Murphy joined the Golisano Foundation in 2025, coinciding with the launch of the Golisano Children’s Alliance. Her background in nonprofit leadership and fundraising informs her work in this exciting role, which supports a growing network of children’s hospitals across the country.
Before joining the Foundation, Annie served as Senior Director of Communications and Philanthropy at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, where she led fundraising efforts that provided lodging, meals, transportation, and supportive services for families with a critically ill or injured child.
