We’re pleased to provide the following grants to Bailey’s Champs, caring, competent providers and organizations that are building capacity, creating opportunities that strengthening the importance of the human-animal bond in personal, occupational, and therapeutic capacities, and promoting responsible, loving pet-ownership.

$1,500 to be used to provide Heartworm treatment and follow up appointments for puppies and dogs with Heartworm diagnoses in the shelter’s care in preparation for adoption.
$2,000 to purchase vaccines and train staff at DeSoto, Hardee, and Sarasota Counties on disease management and vaccination administration.
$2,500 to support the basic medical and veterinary needs, including spay / neuter, necessary to prepare puppies and dogs with significant medical and or behavioral needs for adoption.
$3,000 towards the basic and life-saving medical care for the puppies and dogs rescued in preparation for adoption.
$3,000 to be used towards life-saving medical care, including spay / neuter, of friendly and abandoned community cats in preparation for their return to their cat colony or adoption.
$4,000 towards the basic and life-saving medical care, especially spay / neuter, for kittens and cats rescued in preparation for adoption or the return to their cat colony.
$5,000 to renovate the current cattery and purchase cat towers to meet the new NYS Companion Animal Care Standards Act.
$5,000 towards the basic medical and veterinary care, including spay / neuter, necessary to prepare kittens and cats for adoption.
$13,500 to purchase essential surgical equipment and materials necessary to conduct in-house spay / neuter services and clinics for shelter and community cats and dogs.
$2,000 to purchase and place microchips in shelter and community cats and dogs to prevent lost and displaced animals.
$2,000 to support Pawsitive Interactions, a Humane Education program teaching safe interactions with pets to elementary and middle school age children in the Collier County community.
$3,000 towards emergency veterinary procedures including tumor excisions, eye enucleations, hernia repair, and other life-saving procedures for small breed dogs in the SWFL region.
$4,000 towards the OASIS (Owned Animal Subsidy & Intervention Service) program that offers medical assistance to economically disadvantaged residents of Erie County to keep the pet with its owner.
$5,000 to support the SNIP (Spay Neuter Incentive Program) which provides low-cost spay / neuter services to owned cats and dogs whose owners face accessibility and affordability barriers.
$8,000 to purchase spay / neuter supplies and essential animal care equipment to maintain ongoing, in-house high quality veterinary care for shelter and community cats and dogs.
$15,000 to purchase essential surgical equipment and clinic supplies to provide spay / neuter surgeries and other life-saving procedures, in-house, in preparation for adoption.
$5,400 to be used towards the medical and emergency veterinary care associated with taking care of senior dogs and dogs entering hospice while living out their lives comfortably with foster care volunteers.
$6,000 to be used towards basic and emergency veterinary care required for kitten and cat rehabilitation in preparation for adoption, as well as for the purchase of food for kittens and cats in foster care.
$8,000 to be used towards medical care which will cover spaying / neutering, vaccinations, surgeries, dental care and medications for dogs that were rescued and rehabilitated in preparation for adoption.
$10,000 to purchase essential surgical equipment including an adjustable Exam Table, mobile Anesthesia Unit, Surgical Light, and Microchip Readers to increase an animal’s quality of life and decrease companion animal overpopulation.
$1,500 to be used towards animal welfare consulting services for shelters and rescues to meet the requirements of the new Companion Animals Care Standards Act in the Finger Lakes and WNY.
$2,500 to be used towards the Spay Neuter Incentive Fund which provides accessible, low-cost spay/neuter services for low-income families in Wayne County.
$5,000 to be used to spay/neuter, provide veterinary care, and basic supplies needed to care for 22 feral cat colonies in Rochester, NY.
$7,000 to be used to spay/neuter, vaccinate, and provide medical care for at least 100 community kittens and cats that will then be returned to their feral cat colonies in the surrounding Scottsville, NY area.
$10,000 to be used towards spay/neuter procedures and routine veterinary care for kittens and cats transferred from Rochester Animal Services and Lollypop Farm in preparation for adoption.
$15,000 to purchase additional, essential equipment for the Healing Paws Medical Suite including an anesthesia machine, surgical table, and dental machine to provide veterinary care to kittens and cats in preparation for adoption.
$2,600 to purchase lifelike, robotic pets for children receiving palliative care who would benefit from the companionship of a dog or a cat but cannot care for a live animal due to a life-limiting medical condition.
$15,000 used towards the Ready, Set, Rescue (RSR) program to provide free spay/neuter services for rescued cats and dogs in county shelters in SWFL’s Region 9 geographic region in preparation for adoption.
$3,000 to be used to rescue, vet, train, and places dogs as Therapy Support Dogs for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, as well as other visual or hearing impairments.
$5,000 to be used towards veterinary expenses covering basic evaluations and necessary emergency surgeries required in preparation for adoption.
$7,000 to be used towards routine veterinary services to prepare community kittens and cats for adoption and to return feral cats to their colonies.
$7,000 To replace vaccines and medicines that expired during Hurricane Ian as well as purchase and distribute litter, dog, and cat food to community members in need of basic supplies.
$10,000 To purchase and distribute dog, and cat food, vaccines, and medical supplies to tend to the illnesses and injuries rescued pets have sustained due to Hurricane Ian.
$2,000 to vet and care for rescued abandoned, surrendered, abused, and neglected dogs including spaying / neutering surgeries, emergency procedures, vaccines, special food, and supplies in preparation for adoption.
$3,000 for the TNVR Program (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return) to support the costs of spay and neuter procedures, vaccines, supplies, and food for the general care of feral cat colonies in the Northeast Area of the City of Rochester.
$20,000 to outfit the in-house surgical suite with the necessary equipment to provide spay/neuter services and medical care to kittens and cats. The suite will include a surgery, preparation, and recovery room.
$2,500 to purchase medical equipment, diagnostic tests, and vaccines to care for pregnant cats, kittens, and special needs cats in Southwest, FL.
$12,000 to be used towards spay/neuter surgeries within the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) program for kittens and cats in Southwest, FL.
$3,000 to be used towards the general and specialized medical care for the unexpected intake of kittens and cats rescued from a local house fire.
$4,000 to purchase a custom, CDE Animal Cage that will provide safe and secure temporary housing for kittens, cats, pregnant cats and their litters, while they receive medical care and prepare for adoption.
$2,500 to be used towards the cost-share program, Spay it Forward, that provides financial assistance to reduce the overall cost of owned cat and dog spay/neuter surgeries through the Rochester Community Animal Clinic.
$5,000 to be used towards the Sugar Face Initiative program which provides on-going medical services, therapies, and medications for senior dogs making them as comfortable and pain free as possible.
$9,000 to be used towards the vetting and wellness care required of rescued Cocker Spaniels and other small dog breeds in preparation for adoption.
$9,000 to be used for wellness clinic services distributing vaccinations and identification tags for households with accessibility and affordability barriers in the underserved neighborhoods of Rochester, NY.
$4,000 to be used towards facets of the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) program for community kittens and cats living in the underserved, inner city areas of Rochester, NY.
$12,000 towards the purchase of kennels, surgical instruments, and medications and vaccinations that expired due to Hurricane Ian.
$6,000 to purchase dog and cat food for distribution to food insecure families and pet-serving agencies in Collier and Lee Counties.
$6,000 to be used towards the Operation Rescue Program which provides free emergency pet boarding for pet owners facing financial hardship, hospitalization, displacement, and or impacts from natural disasters.
$5,700 to be used towards the purchase of an autoclave, ultrasonic cleaner, and additional surgical equipment necessary to grow the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) Program.
$7,400 to be used towards the installation of new lighting fixtures for the cat and dog shelter areas.
$5,000 to be used towards veterinary costs for spay / neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and emergency surgeries as well as to purchase supplies for foster families.
$8,000 towards the OASIS (Owned Animal Subsidy and Intervention Service) Program which provides necessary veterinary care for pets whose owners face financial and accessibility barriers.
$10,000 to support spay and neuter services as well as surgical materials and supplies for the shelter’s in-house veterinary clinic.
$2,500 to support expenses accrued with the cost of care for two certified therapy dogs in the Animal-Assisted Therapy program at Youth Haven, Inc. in Southwest, Florida.
$3,000 to support a variety of Humane Education programs through the use of technology subscriptions, curriculum workbooks and materials, classroom and camp supplies.
$5,000 to support the Combo testing of rescued kittens and cats in preparation for adoption and to support the utilization of the Animal Shelter Manager System.
$5,000 towards veterinary costs incurred when rescuing, fostering, spaying and neutering kittens and cats in Monroe County in preparation for adoption.
$20,000 to purchase clinic items and additional supplies that are essential to an in-house medical shelter clinic for cats and dogs of all ages.
$20,000 towards the renovation of an existing kennel building that will be used to provide low-cost veterinary services for the Immokalee area and surrounding impoverished Collier County community residents in Southwest, Florida.
$3,000 to vet and provide wellness care for rescued Cocker Spaniels and similar small dog breeds in preparation for adoption in the Cape Coral and surrounding communities in Southwest, Florida.
$5,000 towards the purchase of a Mason Co. Fiberglass Cat Suite, which will expand the kitten nursery and increase the intake capacity during and after kitten season concluding in October.
$3,000 to spay, neuter, and provide general medical care for puppies rescued from both in and out of state high-kill shelters, illegal puppy mills, and hoarding cases in preparation for adoption.
$20,000 towards the purchase of a transit van, which will be used to deliver donations to southern shelter partners, transport dogs from those shelters to Rochester, NY, and transport animals to medical and foster to adopt appointments.
$6,000 to spay and neuter shelter dogs and cats prior to adoption in collaboration with Shelter Outreach Services and Cornell Veterinary College services who perform such surgeries at a reduced cost.
$1,500 to support facets of the TNR program and emergency medical care for community cat colonies in the underserved, inner city areas of Rochester, NY.
$2,000 towards pet care of pets whose owners are victims of domestic violence and are staying at the Shelter in Immokalee covering food, supplies, and medical expenses in Southwest, Florida.
$2,000 towards the Spay it Forward program that provides cost-sharing awards for low-income households for spay/neuter at Rochester Community Animal Clinic to prevent unwanted litters of puppies and kittens in Rochester, NY.
$3,000 to cover expenses accrued with the cost of caring for both Animal-Assisted Therapy Program golden retrievers including food, veterinary expenses, pet supplies, and dog toys in Southwest, FL.
$2,100 towards the general and medical care of cats and kittens rescued from overcrowded shelters and who are at risk of euthanasia in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
$7,000 to provide monthly pet food for community pet owners and Meals on Wheels participants in need of assistance or are facing financial difficulties through partnerships with Meals on Wheels and Girl Scouts of Western, NY.
$7,000 to purchase vaccinations and pay for wellness, veterinary services for about 230+ pets from households with accessibility barriers due to financial constraints, housing insecurity, hospitalization, or other crises in the underserved neighborhoods throughout the city of Rochester.
$5,600 towards the TNVR Program (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return) for the purchase of necessary supplies and the general care of over 100 cats in 22 locations in the Beechwood area of Rochester, NY.
$10,000 to purchase a dental unit to provide dental care and spay and neuter services for feral and community kittens and cats in the Allegany community.

$2,000 for two years to support UR Medicine Home Care Hospice staff and volunteers within the hospice community to provide pet food, veterinary care and other healthy pet care needs at no cost to patients to keep patients and pets together.
$20,000 towards the Hometown Training program that provides at-home guide dog training to blind clients with disabilities in addition to blindness. All funds from Bailey and Friends directly support the placement and training of guide dogs for clients with IDD in WNY.
